- “Maria Rypan’s Personal Beadwork Exhibit” continues at the Ukrainian National Museum in Chicago until the end of August. Do you need more excuses to visit Chicago?
- My most recent presentation of “Beadwork in Ukraine” at the Museum yielded incredible results. Never did I imagine the opportunity to photograph an incredible collection of beaded embroidery costumes from Bukovyna, as well as my “student’s” treasure troves of old and contemporary beadwork.
- Bead Fest is just around the corner on Aug. 22 to 24th in the Valley Forge Convention Center outside Philadelphia. See the latest RYPAN DESIGNS kits and patterns at the same spot as last year, Booth #1234.
- Toronto’s Fall Bead Oasis Show will be Sep. 19 to 21th in a NEW location at the Metro Convention Centre. All vendors and Powerpoint seminars will be in Hall F in the South building.
- I’m going to Ukraine in Sept. 16 to 28 for a family wedding in Ivano Frankivsk and to follow up my newest photos with a research trip in Bukovyna and Kyiv.
